• Peak XV Partners, formerly Sequoia Capital India and Southeast Asia, is set to achieve a significant liquidity event with its portfolio company, Wakefit Innovations Ltd, launching its Initial Public Offering (IPO). The IPO opens on December 8th and closes on December 10th.
• Wakefit's IPO will consist of a fresh issue of Rs 377.2 crore and an offer for sale of 46.75 million shares by existing shareholders, a reduction from its initial draft prospectus. This adjustment follows a pre-IPO placement of Rs 56 crore at Rs 195 per share.
• Peak XV Partners, the largest external shareholder with a 22.47% stake, plans to sell over 20 million shares, representing 43.6% of the total shares offered in the IPO. This partial exit is estimated to generate over Rs 400 crore for Peak XV, yielding a multiple on invested capital of 9.5x and an IRR of almost 50%.
• Wakefit, which started as a direct-to-consumer mattress brand in 2016 and has expanded into a full-stack home and furnishings platform, reported a net profit of Rs 35.57 crore on revenue of Rs 724 crore for the six months ending September 2025. The company's IPO price band is set at Rs 185-195 per share.
