• Limited partners committed Rs 44,195 crore ($5 billion) to Category I and II alternative investment funds in the three months ending September 30, 2025. This represents the third highest commitment amount ever and the highest in nearly two years.
• Commitments to public market-focused funds reached a record Rs 43,216 crore in the same quarter. This surge, combined with PE-VC and credit funds, brought total LP commitments to alternative asset classes to nearly $10 billion.
• The total committed money to Category I and II alternative investment funds has reached Rs 12.13 trillion ($138 billion) to date. This includes angel, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, PE, and private credit funds.
• The dry powder available for deployment by Indian PE, VC, and credit funds rose to Rs 7.9 trillion ($90 billion). Including public market funds, total dry powder exceeded $100 billion, reaching Rs 8.93 trillion.
