• The IFC's investment strategy in India is multifaceted, encompassing direct lending, equity investments, and Limited Partner-style commitments to private equity and venture capital funds. It also supports government initiatives.
• Recent IFC investments in India include a $50 million commitment to an Asia-focused climate fund, backing Motilal Oswal Alternates, and anchor investments in funds managed by HDFC Capital and Brookfield Asset Management. Direct investments have been made in clean energy and electric mobility firms, as well as financial services supporting MSMEs.
