• Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), Macquarie, and VINCI Highways are vying for a minority stake in CDPQ's Maple Infrastructure Trust, an Indian infrastructure investment trust. CDPQ aims to raise $350-400 million through this stake sale, managed by Rothschild, with the trust having an enterprise value of about $2 billion.
• The capital raised by Maple Infrastructure Trust will help fund its recent acquisition of toll road assets from Ashoka Concessions. Several existing investors are also expected to reduce their holdings in the InvIT during this round.
• Harshvardhan Lunia has resigned as Managing Director of Lendingkart Finance, a fintech company backed by Temasek. The company is awaiting RBI approval for a new MD recommended by Fullerton Financial Holdings, Lendingkart's largest shareholder.
